Break Media launches Creative Labs, an initiative that will focus on generating branded content partnerships with producers of broadcast quality streaming media. The announcement was met with much skepticism by most reputable industry followers and new media thinkers.
Break's new strategy is highly reminiscent of that employed by another video destination site geared toward the younger male demographic, ManiaTV, which recently launched a branded web-series called "Making the Music" with famed Hip-Hop producer Scoop Deville. However, Break has several million more pageviews/month than ManiaTV on its network of highly targetable websites, which gives them an unparalleled platform for monetizing and distributing professionally produced content.
